Stamford Public Elementary & Middle Schools

There are 18 public elementary schools in the Stamford Public School district, serving 7,145 students (PUBLIC SCHOOL REVIEW). As of the 2023-24 school year, Stamford public elementary schools have a reading proficiency score of 41%, and an average math proficiency score of 31% (PUBLIC SCHOOL REVIEW). The Academy of Information Technology is a magnet school that serves 625 students, with an average student to teacher ratio per class of 12:1, and a graduation rate of 99% (USNEWS). They have a reading proficiency score of 70-74%, and an average math proficiency score of 40-44% (PUBLIC SCHOOL REVIEW).  This means 26-56% of students aren't proficient in reading and math if they choose to move forward academically.
